Biography
Allen is currently paving the way for payment product enhancements and expansion of Interac services into new markets. In his previous role, Allen was the Director for Product Platforms at Visa Canada, where he focused on Strategy, Technology, and Systems Integration. He was responsible for Visa Canada’s EMV platform strategy, and attained the adoption of chip by Visa Canada members.

From 2010–2012, Aran advised the Task Force for the Payments System Review, created by the Canadian Government to review the domestic payments system. Convening a number of national working groups, Aran’s work is credited with kick starting a new Canadian round of innovation and cooperation in emerging payments and digital ID and authentication.
Formerly the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for EnStream, Aran oversaw corporate planning, business development and marketing and communications as well as the social media strategy for Zoompass. Ahead of it’s time, Zoompass was a mobile wallet / mobile commerce platform that Aran launched for the joint venture between Canada’s leading mobile network operators - Bell, Rogers, and TELUS.
Aran led the strategic alliance with Western Union that allows Canadians to send international money transfers from their mobile phones to more than 380,000 Western Union Agent locations in 200 countries around the world and directly to the phones of wireless subscribers in an increasing number of countries.
Previously, Aran had served as Regional Vice President responsible for VeriSign in Canada, joining VeriSign through their acquisition of m-Qube where he led new product development in the payments industry and pioneered development of early mobile commerce systems.
Hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Aran has B.Sc. in Biology from Dalhousie University and an MBA from the Rotman School at University of Toronto.

Prior to joining DonRiver Inc, Brent served as a technology consultant with Accenture, a global management and technology consulting firm. At Accenture, Brent architected and managed complex systems integration projects for telecommunications services providers around the world.
Brent holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering & Management from McMaster University and is a former President of the Harvard Business School’s Summer Venture in Management Program Alumni Association.
