Biography

Brent Ho–Young is the Managing Director of DonRiver’s Mobile Financial Services Consulting & Technology Practice. Brent helps mobile network operators, banks, and financial services providers define their Mobile Money strategies and commercialize their product offerings. In addition, Brent is responsible for leading the development of DonRiver’s mobile financial software applications, market research, and overseeing client consulting engagements.

DonRiver is a leading business and technology consulting company that serves the global telecommunications and mobile financial services industries. DonRiver’s Mobile Financial Services Consulting & Technology Practice provides mobile financial strategy, software development, and system integration services to the world’s leading mobile operators, financial institutions, and financial services providers.

Prior to joining DonRiver Inc, Brent served as a technology consultant with Accenture, a global management and technology consulting firm. At Accenture, Brent architected and managed complex systems integration projects for telecommunications services providers around the world.

Brent holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering & Management from McMaster University and is a former President of the Harvard Business School’s Summer Venture in Management Program Alumni Association.

Brian Fox has a background in Engineering, Research and Development.  He moved to sales and marketing while working in the telecom industry.  His career with Western Union began in 2001 as Director of International Business Development.  The job then was to open un-tapped remittance business opportunity in Canada’s large ethnic population.  Following a three year stint in the marketing chair, Brian is now Senior Vice President and General Manager for Western Union Financial Services (Canada) Inc.

Charlie Trainor is responsible for the online and mobile channels within the product management team at Interac Association/Acxsys Corporation. He has been involved with the INTERAC Email Money Transfer service since 2004, and was a key player in the launch of INTERAC Online in 2005. Recently his major focus has been to extend INTERAC services into the mobile channel. Prior to INTERAC, Charlie gained extensive experience with high technology product development in several industries including aerospace, medical, and scientific instrumentation.

David Youker, Senior Director, mCommerce Americas, has over 20 years of experience in the financial technology industry focusing mobile banking, payments, remittances, IVR, retail and treasury management. He holds a BA from Darthmouth College and MBA from Northwestern University. He has held various senior management and sales roles at Clairmail, VICOR/Metavante, Bankserv and Visa. Past speaking opportunities include, various Mobile Commerce events in both North and Latin America, webinars, and press/analyst interactions. Currently, David Youker focuses on developing strategy and businessdevelopment for mCommerce for Sybase 365 both North and Latin America.
